We are thrilled to welcome our guest: Alasdair Hutton

Alasdair Hutton has managed to cram so much into his life, firstly starting off as a journalist before moving on as a  Broadcaster for the BBC, He then joined the Parachute Regiment as a paratrooper where he served from 1964-1986 Alasdair also served as a Member of the European Parliament between 1979-1989, However is most famous role came in 1992 when he was asked to be the official storyteller of the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo an appointment he held for 29 years. During his time with the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo  he also penned a couple of Tattoo themed children’s books aptly named ‘The Tattoo Fox, The Tattoo Fox makes new Friends and The Castle Cat’ he also wrote his autobiography “The Greatest Show on earth”.
Alasdair was awarded the OBE (Order of the British Empire) in 1986 for his military service.
